Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz (born 10 January 1993), known professionally as Rauw Alejandro, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. Also known as the "King of Modern Reggaeton",[2][3He is part of "the younger generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. His first studio album Afrodisiaco was released in November 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album. The first single, "Todo de Ti" was released in June 2021. He has won two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz who is a Latin Grammy Award winner was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on the 10th of January 1993. He also grew up in Canovanas and Carolina. [4][5] His father, guitarist Raul Ocasio, and his mother singer Maria Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to some of his music influences, including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson as well as Chris Brown. Alejandro and his dad lived for a long time in the United States. They mainly settled in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel A.A. an fellow Puerto Rican rapper are childhood friendships. To be a scout for the Premier Development League (PDL), he moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro's music style includes Latin R&B, reggaeton, dancehall, and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that this has helped him distinguish himself from a increasing number of reggaetoneros who lean towards pop. Presley as well as Jackson were influential in the beginning.
