Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became America's Sweetheart after winning American Idol during the very first season of the series. This win did more than propel her into the limelight however, it also secured her a multi-album recording contract in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. Since then, she's released a number recordings from her studio. In these albums, 3 reached the US Billboard 200 Chart while other albums were a two centimeters off. Her name is one of the most well-known artists that made it through American Idol. She experimented as she gained recognition for her various themes and different musical styles. She was often the one to write her own music. They acclaimed her critically and won several prestigious awards in recognition of her uniqueness and vocal ability. One of her most memorable achievements was that she received the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her music career she's appeared in film as well as television programs. She also penned the kids' book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with several charitable organizations.
